Operation to nab errant foreign motorists commences in Johor

JOHOR BARU: Traffic police in the state commenced operations to nab foreign registered vehicles with unpaid summonses today.
Supt Roslan Ali told the media that foreign registered vehicles had accrued traffic summonses for speeding, illegal parking , running red lights and various other offences under the Road Transport Act 1987.

He said 200 traffic police personnel will take part in the special operation in three locations: Jalan Tebrau (towards Kota tinggi), Eastern dispersal link highway (EDL) at Pandan (towards Woodlands), Second Link Bridge at Tanjung Kupang (towards Tuas).
Roslan said the operation also aims to instil awareness on traffic rules.
Traffic rules and regulations are implemented under the Road Transport Act 1987, Road Traffic Rules 1959 and Traffic Signs (Size, Colour and Type) Rules 1959.
