Bright Packaging signs aluminum deal

    PETALING JAYA: Bright Packaging Industry Bhd has entered into a purchase-sale agreement with Zao Philip Morris Izhora to supply aluminium foil worth US$15 million.
    Zao Philip Morris Izhora, a multinational tobacco manufacturing company in Russia, is an affiliate of Philip Morris International, a leading tobacco company with seven of the worlds' top 15 brands, including Marlboro, the world's best-selling cigarette brand.
    In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Bright Packaging said the agreement would stay in force until Dec 31, 2016 and might be renewed for additional terms upon written agreement of the parties.
    Zao Philip Morris Izhora's factory in St.Peterburg is the second largest Philip Morris International's production facility in the world.
