KUALA LUMPUR: The country's premier annual beauty event, the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant, is set to begin on Feb 2.
The 2015 edition of the competition will be shown every Monday and Wednesday at 9.30pm on the official Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation (Mumo) YouTube channel, followed by a broadcast on 8TV starting on March 11 at 9.30pm.
The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2015 show will also feature special appearances by Miss Universe Malaysia 2011, Deborah Henry, Miss Universe Malaysia 2014, Sabrina Beneet, supermodels Amber Chia, Tinie and Carla Soong and other celebrities.
Mumo national director Carey Ng said this year's programme for the next Miss Universe event will be simulated as close as possible to the life of a beauty queen.
"Expect to see the girls tried and tested in every sense, to identify the true beauty queen from the rest of the beauties" she added.
She said this year's edition will also see the finalists portray their inner beauty, rather than focusing on just their looks in front of the camera.
