Foreign Ministry: Malaysian missing in tugboat sinking incident in China

KUALA LUMPUR The Foreign Ministry today confirmed a Malaysian is reported missing in the tugboat sinking incident at Fubei Channel, Yangtze River nearby Jiangjiang, Jiangsu province in China.
According to a statement issued here, during the incident which took place last Thursday (January 15), several workers on the boat were reported missing when it sank during testing.
Local authorities are working on the search and rescue of the victims involved.
The ministry through the Malaysian consulate general in Shanghai is trying to get more information from the local authorities in the incident, it added. – Bernama
