Three shops, house and lorry razed in Prai

BUTTERWORTH: Three shops in a row, a house and a three-tonne lorry were destroyed in a fire in Kampung Manis, Prai here early today morning.
A Fire and Rescue spokesman said firemen took half-an-hour to bring the blaze under the control and prevented it from spreading.
"The fire which spread very fast was aided by a strong wind but fire fighters managed to completely extinguish it by 2.28am," he said.
The cause of fire and amount of losses are still under investigation. – Bernama
