Youths stranded on Gunung Pulai rescued

    BALING: Two youths who were stranded on Gunung Pulai, near Gua Kelambu here, due to exhaustion on Monday were rescued by a search team at 10.30pm on Monday.
    Mohd Hanafi Huzni Minhat, 21, and Mohd Alimin Ahmad, 20, were at a height of about 1,000 feet from Kampung Seberang when they were brought down.
    "They were exhausted because they did not bring along food and drinks," Kulim Hi-Tech Park fire and rescue department rescue operations chief Mohd Hafiz Suhaimi told reporters today.
    He said the duo started their climb at 10am without guides and one of them called a friend for help at 7pm.
    The friend lodged a police report at 7.30pm and the rescue team was sent up the mountain after being notified by the police, he said, adding the duo were sent to the Baling Hospital for treatment for exhaustion. – Bernama
