Father unhappy with daughter's treatment at government hospital

JOHOR BARU: A father who brought his daughter to a government hospital recently, expressed dissatisfaction with the treatment given to her.
Mohamad Faizal Jamil, 31, said he brought his daughter, Nur Dayana Batrisyia, 4, to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital on Dec 30 after she sustained a leg injury.
He said an assistant at the hospital's emergency unit, told him to bring his daughter back the next day to see a specialist.
Mohamad Faizal said the specialist doctor who examined his daughter the following day, said her right leg, above the foot, was fractured and had to be wrapped with a fibreglass material.
He said his daughter suffered pain and fever after the treatment, and was admitted to the same hospital on Jan 13. She was subsequently discharged on Jan 27.
Speaking to the media at his home in Taman Putri Wangsa here, Mohamad Faizal who works as a bus driver in Singapore, said he lodged a police report at the Seri Alam police station on Jan 28 over the dissatisfactory service provided by the hospital.
With him at today's press conference was Parti Keadilan Rakyat Tebrau chief, Steven Chong.
Mohamad Faizal said he had sought help from other government complaint bureaus, but has yet to see any progress on his complaint.
