Woman's body found in Sungai Kerian

NIBONG TEBAL: A woman's body was found floating in the waters off Sungai Kerian near Kampung Sungai Udang at about 10am today.
The body was found by a fisherman who then lodged a police report in order to get out the deceased from the water.
Commenting about the incident, Sungai Udang Community Development and Security Committee (JKKK) chairman Chew Thong Tai said, when contacted, Nibong Tebal Fire and Rescue station had retrieved the body about 12am.
He said the police then had sent the bosy to Sungai Bakap Hospital for post-mortem about 12.30pm.
"So far I have not received any missing people report from resident here, hence the deceased to be believed was an outsider.
"The body may also drift from other places to here," he said.
Chew added the deceased has fair skin with long black pants and white T-shirt, so she to be believed a Chinese.
However, he said the identity of the deceased had to be investigated by the police.
