Malaysia condemns ISIL murder of 21 Egyptians in Libya

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia strongly condemns the killing of 21 Egyptians in Libya recently by a terrorist group affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman (pix) said today.
He said the manner the civilians were killed was utterly deplorable.
"The Malaysian government expresses its deep sympathy and condolences to the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the families of the victims.
"May they have the strength and courage in this difficult time," he said in a statement.
Anifah said Malaysia remained in solidarity with the Arab Republic of Egypt as well the international community of nations in combatting any form of terrorism and extremism. – Bernama
