Free doughnuts from Krispy Kreme

KUALA LUMPUR: It was a deliciously good day for doughnut lovers as Berjaya Krispy Kreme Doughnuts gave away free 1,000 pieces of its "Original Glazed" doughnuts to the first 1,000 customers who came to the store at Berjaya Times Square here today.
The give-away started at 8.30am and went on until 3pm when stocks ran out.
The event was a global celebration to mark the opening of the 1,000th Krispy Kreme store in Kansas City, USA.
It was not only held in Malaysia but also in other international Krispy Kreme Stores that operates in 24 countries.
A student, Muzafar Raiz Marwazi, 23, was among the 1,000 lucky people who managed to grab one of the doughnuts.
He said he saw the advertisement posted by Krispy Kreme Malaysia on its official Facebook page and decided to try his luck.
"I have been a Krispy Kreme fan for many years, so with this great offer surely I will not miss it," he said.
This give-away is also to show Krispy Kreme's appreciation to its fans worldwide and hope that they will continue to support the brand.
Berjaya Krispy Kreme general manager Su Anne Chuah said this event was to show the company's appreciation to its fans who have shown strong support since the outlet first opened in Berjaya Times Square in 2009.
"With their great support, we have now opened an outlet in IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, bringing the total number of our outlets to nine in the Klang Valley," she said.
Its other outlets are in MidValley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid, Plaza Shah Alam, Avenue K in Kuala Lumpur, Subang Parade, Bangsar Shopping Centre and Hartamas Shopping Centre.
