Close shave for couple shot at by group of men

KOTA BARU: A husband and wife almost got hit by gunfire after being attacked by a group of armed men in a house in Kampung Alor Bemban, Tanah Merah, today.
In the 9.20am incident, the couple, aged 25 and 38, were resting at home before four men arrived in a Toyota Camry.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Mazlan Lazim, said initial investigations revealed that the suspects were believed to be looking for a man known by the nickname "Julie".
"The four men got down from the car and rushed straight into the couple's house looking for 'Julie' after seeing a motorcycle belonging to 'Julie' in the area. The couple told them they did not know 'Julie', but the men suspected the couple were hiding him (Julie). One of the suspects fired at the couple but missed," he told reporters at the Kelantan police contingent headquarters here.
The suspects also burned two motorcycles, one belonging to the couple, and the other belonging to "Julie" before fleeing.
Mazlan said the couple were arrested for past drug-related records.
Police are on the hunt for the suspects and people with information on them are urged to come forward to help in investigations. – Bernama
