Penang PKR Youth calls on PAS president to state his stand about Umno

GEORGE TOWN: Penang PKR Youth has called on PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to categorically state whether he was for a unity government with Umno or not.
State deputy youth chief Khairil Anuar Kamarudin said Abdul Hadi should come clean on the matter following intense speculation.
He said the president should stop evading the issue and clear up matters which affected the people.
Hadi should give his full commitment to Pakatan Rakyat if PAS wanted to remain PR, he added.
However, Khairil Anuar said if Hadi wished to form a unity government with Umno he should go ahead so that PR could move on.
"Failing to do so, we will issue a follow-up statement," he said in a press conference today.
Talk of PAS joining Umno to form a coalition government intensified after PR de factor leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was jailed earlier this month over a sodomy charge.
The Islamist party is also said to be divided over sticking with the opposition pact or ditching PR for Umno.
