Felda debuts first M'sian restaurant in Jeddah

    PETALING JAYA: Felda Investment Corp Sdn Bhd (FIC) has set up Malaysia's first restaurant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, namely Felda D'Saji Malaysian & Asian Cuisine Restaurant yesterday.
    FIC appointed Felda D'Saji Sdn Bhd to operate the 112-seater restaurant, with a variety of Asian cuisines from the buffet line and cooking stations which serve local favourites such as roti canai and satay.
    "It is a good opportunity for both Malaysia and Saudi Arabia to strengthen its relations through enhanced intercultural engagements," its chairman Tan Sri Datuk Sri Utama Haji Mohd Isa said in a statement.
    "It would contribute to greater cultural exchanges and promote better understanding between both countries in various aspects, benefiting both parties in a multitude of ways," he added, noting the group aims to leverage on Jeddah's location as the gateway to Saudi Arabia.
    He added that each year, Jeddah receives high numbers of visitors from all over of the world to perform the pilgrimage and with its cosmopolitan ambience, it is fast becoming one of travellers' favourite destinations.
    FIC is principally involved in the areas of property development, hospitality, and other strategic investments.
