Man cheats death after MPV rams into school building in Labuan

LABUAN: A local man cheated death when the Toyota Alphard he was driving skidded and rammed into a primary school building, SK Kerupang here yesterday.
Labuan police chief Supt. Adzhar Othman said the 29-year-old man was heading to Kerupang from town and failed to control the wheel after avoiding a passing motorist in the 5.40pm incident.
" The MPV rammed the school's gate, the driver escaped injury. It is fortunate the school only has morning session, and no pupil in the school during the incident," he said to Bernama today.
He said the man had pledged to bear the cost of the damaged structure. – Bernama
