Visit USA Malaysia Programme at Matta Fair 2015

    KUALA LUMPUR: Brand USA in collaboration with the United States Embassy Malaysia, has launched the "Visit USA Malaysia Programme" to promote the United States (US) as a premier travel destination for the first time in Malaysia's leading consumer travel show Matta Fair 2015, which will be held from March 13-15, 2015.
    The Visit USA Malaysia Programme will connect Malaysian travelers with support and resources for travel to the United States with cooperative efforts between the US Embassy's commercial and consular sections, and includes training and services for Malaysian travel agencies that sign up as Visit USA Partners.
    The Visit USA Malaysia Programme will allow Malaysian travel companies to guide them on the procedures and processes of applying for a visa to the US.
    The US Embassy's Deputy Chief of Mission, Edgard D. Kagan said, "Malaysians who travel to the US will have an opportunity to see a country more like Malaysia, with its diversity of multi-cultural and multi-ethnic races and its incredible natural beauty".
    According to Reene Ho-Phang, managing director of Brand USA Southeast Asia, the motive of Brand USA is to position the country as a fresh destination with limitless opportunities and experiences.
    "We are thrilled to showcase the diversity of urban excitement, great outdoors, culture and indulgence found in the 50 states, 5 territories and the District of Columbia of the USA, to inspire travellers to explore what the land of dreams has to offer," said Reene.
    The Deputy Consul General of the US Embassy, Jessica Norris, said that visa officers will be available throughout the three days of the Matta Fair, to talk to travellers who have questions and they will be hosting two visa talks everyday during the Matta Fair 2015.
