Najib holds talks with Myanmar president
PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak and visiting Myanmar President U Thein Sein held talks today in this administrative capital.
The two leaders held a four-eyed meeting and later led their sides at a delegation meeting to discuss developments in bilateral cooperation.
Thein Sein, who became the President of Myanmar in 2011, arrived yesterday on a maiden two-day state visit to Malaysia at the invitation of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah.
The Myanmar leader had an audience with Tuanku Abdul Halim yesterday.
Myanmar is Malaysia's 38th largest trading partner and the seventh biggest among the ASEAN nations, registering total two-way trade amounting to RM3.18 billion last year. – Bernama
