After its massively successful Bolario Bear campaign last year, 7-Eleven Malaysia recently unveiled its latest loyalty programme featuring the popular, locally created 3D animated character, BoBoiBoy and friends, This new campaign is a collaboration between 7-Eleven and the animation creators Animonsta Studios.
Comprising eight different collectible characters, the BoBoiBoy figurine series, includes BoBoiBoy Wind, Earth and Lightning, along with the introduction of two never-before-released character elements, BoBoiBoy Fire and Water, along with his friends, the popular Yaya, uber-cool Fang and adorable lil’ Ochobot.
To add to its playability factor, the figurines are 3D puzzle based and come with a holder stand for easy display. There is also a limited edition “plain” BoBoiBoy figurine, available for fans to express their creativity on how this BoBoiBoy should look, while at the same time allowing them to participate in an online contest where they can win exciting prizes.
“We always place our customers’ interests first and we strive to meet their demands by introducing regular innovative programmes and promotions. When people talk about animation 10 years ago, we would immediately think of giant companies in the US but that is a mindset that we should put behind. It is time for us to believe that Malaysian products are on par with other countries and it is our duty to support our local animation industry. The success of BoBoiBoy animation has been recognised internationally and 7-Eleven Malaysia is doing our part in supporting the local animation industry with our loyalty programme that gives the chance for BoBoiBoy fans to collect these limited edition 3D figurines, only available at our stores,” said 7-Eleven Malaysia CEO Gary Brown.
The BoBoiBoy loyalty campaign will run until May 4 this year. During this period, customers will be rewarded with one programme sticker for every RM6 spent on selected purchases in a single receipt at 7-Eleven Malaysia. In addition, a bonus programme sticker will be rewarded if purchases include items from the “preferred partner’s products list” by 7-Eleven Malaysia. When all 20 stickers are collected, customers get to redeem a BoBoiBoy 3D figurine.
“This would be the first of more interesting loyalty campaigns to come for the year and we promise a nice mix that will appeal to a wide range of demographics. We are happy to be able to support a truly made in Malaysia character as we’re always there for all Malaysians, first and foremost, 24/7,” said 7-Eleven Malaysia marketing GM Ronan Lee.
