PETALING JAYA: A pro-UMNO blog says a new private jet has been acquired to replace the VVIP jet BBJ373-700NG that is almost 20 years old and is expensive to maintain.
Mykmu.net said the new jet is not only for the Prime Minister's use but also for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Sultans.
"This replacement is a common practice of the government because in Malaysia not only the Prime Minister uses the jet, but also the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and other Sultans, who are entitled to use such government jets.
It also said: "As the supreme leader of the Armed Forces, the Agong is entitled to the best jet in terms of safety and technology, and this also saves the people's money as it would not cost as much to maintain a newer jet compared to the older one".
