Explosion triggered by lorry fire injures two firemen

    KUCHING: Two firemen were injured in an explosion as they fought a fire that destroyed a lorry laden with various goods near Pantu in Sri Aman, about 100km from here, early today.
    A spokesman of the Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Station said the firemen had been admitted to the Sri Aman Hospital and their condition was stable.
    They were among six firemen, led by senior fire and rescue officer Jilin Itar, who had rushed to the location at 2.48am, he said.
    An explosion occurred while they were putting out the fire that had engulfed the 11-tonne lorry, he added. – Bernama
