Taiwanese tourist killed in freak accident

KUALA LUMPUR: A Taiwanese tourist was killed in a freak accident involving a tour bus in Petaling Jaya near here this morning.
In the 8.20am incident, Teng Yun-Ch, 56, was waiting for a tour bus with his wife and daughter when he run was run over by the parked bus which suddenly moved backwards.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Azmi Abu Kassim said initial investigations found the handbrake of the bus was not applied.
"The victim died at the scene. His body was sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre," he said. He added that the driver of the bus, aged 65, had been detained to assist investigations. – Bernama
