Folks in Selayang will be excited to learn that they will soon have their first and very own integrated retail, leisure and entertainment commercial centre called Selayang StarCity Mall!
Developed by Sierra Delima Development, a subsidiary of Leadmont Development Sdn Bhd, the mall is geared towards a soft opening in the second half of 2016. A signing ceremony between the developer and its tenants recently took place at Holiday Villa in Subang Jaya.
Present at the event were Leadmont Development CEO Mark K S Tung, the company’s finance and investor relations group GM T P Phuan and its investment properties division GM Y L Lum.
Integrated concept

Selayang StarCity Mall will contain seven storeys and provide visitors with four levels of retail space spanning a net lettable area (NLA) of approximately 550,000 square feet. When fully tenanted, it will house over 230 shops. Its blueprint includes four carpark levels, offering 1,800 parking bays. Additionally, the mall will include designer suites and four-star serviced suites managed by the Holiday Villa chain.
Lum explained that Selayang StarCity Mall will offer a one-stop venue that will cater to the wants and needs of those within the vicinity of Selayang and its neighbouring districts. From the middle class individuals to families, right down to the mass market, these are the target customer segments the mall aims to attract.
“We will be introducing a number of new retail concepts and we are very pleased that one of the leading Japanese supermarket chains, along with Pacific Departmental Store, and Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), have chosen to come on board as the mall’s anchor tenants,” Lum added.
At present, the retail construction is 30% complete. Confirmed tenants include Celebrity Fitness, Kaison Home, K-Max Karaoke, Mr D.I.Y., Original Classic, Sports Direct.com, Taimal, Eu Yan Sang & Zun Kitchenette, Fish & Co, Focus Point, Gintell, Milano Eyes Fashion, Poh Kong, Sakae Sushi, Subway, Sushi King and Texas Chicken. Look out for exciting news on the mall’s progress, additional tenants and its grand opening.
