Ringgit opens higher against US dollar

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar in the early session today on renewed buying interest.
At 9.06am, the local unit was quoted at 3.6785/6815 to the greenback compared with 3.6975/6005 at 5pm on Wednesday.
The domestic unit was also mostly higher against other major currencies. It rose against the Euro to 3.9562/9609 from 3.9674/9717 on Wednesday and strengthened against the Singapore dollar to 2.6970/7012 from 2.7003/7029.
The ringgit was up against the British pound to 5.4519/4578 from 5.4568/4627 and almost flat against the yen to 3.0739/0777 from 3.0738/0771. – Bernama
