PUEBLA, Mexico: Armed men hijacked a truck with a trailer filled with a toxic, highly flammable chemical in central Mexico, officials said Sunday.
The hijackers "may not have the least idea what they have," said a source with the public security office in the state of Puebla.
Local media reported that the truck was carrying 20 tonnes of paraformaldehyde, a chemical used to make resins for textiles and furniture, when it was hijacked late Friday in the municipality of Cuautlancingo. – AFP
