Wilfred Yong sworn in as senator

KUALA LUMPUR: Wilfred Yong Chen Leong was sworn in as a senator at the Dewan Negara today.
Yong, 42, who is currently the Sabah MCA chairman, was sworn in for his first term before Speaker Senator Tan Sri Abu Ujong.
Yong, who hails from Kota Kinabalu, holds a Masters in Business Administration from Preston University, United States as well as a Bachelor of Law from the University of Tasmania, Australia.
He has been active in politics, and held several posts since 2008, including as the Sabah MCA Youth chief and national central committee member between 2008 and 2013.
