Homestay Langkawi begins promotion in Japan

    LANGKAWI: A delegation from the Langkawi Homestay Association began a promotion of tour packages for six days in Tokyo, specifically to attract more tourists from the Land of the Rising Sun.
    Its chairman, Mokhtar Shahabudin, said seven operators from the association are now following the delegation from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to Japan which also involves homestay operators from Sarawak and Sabah.
    "Our members are working on a homestay service in Kampung Wang Tok Rendong, Kampung Sungai Itau, Kampung Padang Lalang Ayer Hangat, Kampung Bukit Tangga and Kampung Pulau Tuba," he told Bernama yesterday.
    Besides Japan, the association will also hold a similar promotion in Singapore on May 10.
