Bermaz rolls out Mazda3 CKD variants
Following the huge success of its fully imported, award-winning Mazda3 SkyActiv, Bermaz Motor Sdn Bhd (Bermaz), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berjaya Auto Berhad, recently announced a revision of its spectacular Mazda3 line-up. Friends and enthusiasts of the Mazda3 now have more choice with the introduction of locally assembled (CKD) versions of the Mazda3 C-segment models. The extended line-up now offers variants to suit different lifestyles. These include the Sedan GL at RM105,376.30, the Sedan High with premium trims at RM120,376.30, and the mid-range Hatchback at RM120,376.30 (all prices OTR w/o insurance).
All three Mazda3 versions are powered by Mazda's groundbreaking and highly efficient 2.0-litre Skyactiv-G petrol four-cylinder engines that generate 162hp at 6,000rpm, providing peak torque of 210Nm at 4,000rpm. Both the engine and six-speed automatic transmission, as seen in the fully imported (CBU) versions, are retained. However, the CKD versions now boast a slightly enhanced list of features.
New on board both the Mazda3 Sedan and Hatchback CKD variants are a head-up display (HUD) that complements the standard-equipped instrument panel. Standard safety features have also been enhanced (in the CKD variants) with the addition of Smart City Braking function that applies automatic braking at speeds between 4km/h and 30km/h, as well as the Lane Departure Warning feature.
Other notable aesthetic enhancements can be found in the premium-spec Mazda3 Sedan High, with its cabin featuring leather seat covers and matching leather trimming, along with a set of larger and stylish 18-inch alloy wheels complementing 215/45 tyres. The mid-range Hatchback also carries the premium variant's 18-inch wheels package but comes with fabric-covered seats instead.
Available in four paint scheme options of Arctic White, Meteor Grey Mica, Aluminium Metallic, and Blue Reflex Mica, the newly introduced Mazda3 CKD line-up is now available for viewing and booking at all authorised Mazda showrooms and dealers nationwide. Prices include Bermaz's offer of a three-year or 60,000km Free Maintenance Package.
