KUALA LUMPUR: A road closure and traffic diversions will be implemented at Persiaran Jengka (on SS17 side) from April 21 until Dec 31.
Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) in a statement today said the road closure involving a 300-meter northbound stretch was to facilitate construction works for Station 5 of the Kelana Jaya LRT Line Extension Project.
"As alternative route one, motorists coming from the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) heading towards Subang Parade will be diverted to Jalan SS17/2 and will re-enter Persiaran Jengka after Jalan SS17/2J.
"Alternative route two, motorists travelling on Jalan SS17/2 towards NPE will be diverted to Jalan SS17/2L and will need to make a left turn into Jalan SS17/3, followed by another left turn into Jalan SS17/3A.
Motorists will re-enter Jalan SS17/2 to proceed to their intended destination," the statement said.
Prasarana said the road closure was for the safety of motorists as the work involved heavy machinery and lifting of materials.

Apart from road barriers to divert the traffic, flagmen will be deployed and early warning signs will be displayed to alert motorists of the road closure and diversions.
Prasarana reminded motorists to exercise caution and to adhere to advance warning signs when travelling in the areas.
