Stop speculation on helicopter crash: Liow

NILAI: The public are urged to be patient and not make any kind of speculations on the cause of the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of six people, including Rompin Member of Parliament Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said a comprehensive investigations was being conducted involving various aspects.
He said a full report on the findings would be announced early next month to respond to all queries and speculations made by various parties.
"We will provide a conclusive finding to the public and hope the people will be patient and not make any speculations, said Liow, who is also MCA president told a media conference after officiating the Malaysian Chinese Women Blueprint (2015-2018)), organised by National MCA Women here today.
Also present were National MCA Women chief Datuk Heng Seai Kie and Negri Sembilan MCA Women chief Datuk Seri Lee Pit Chern.
"Investigation on the recent heliicopter crash run smoothly and the investigation team from the United States has returned home after we retrieved all the data from the flight data recorder (blackbox).
"All the data is in good condition and can be analysed. We are confident the cause of the crash can be determined once all the fragments from the helicopter wreckage are retrieved," he said.
In the incident. the AS3655N2 Dauphin (9M-1GB) helicopter that was ferrying six people went down in a rubber smallholding in Semenyih on April 4.
Apart from Jamaluddin, five others who perished were the helicopter pilot Capt Clifford William Fournier ; principal private secretary to the prime minister Datuk Seri Azlin Alias; businessman Datuk Tan Huat Seang; Jamaluddin's personal bodyguard, Razakan Seran serta and a woman known as Aidana Baizieva. – Bernama
