DRESDEN, Germany: Six people were injured on Saturday in a fire at an asylum seekers home in the east German city of Chemnitz, a police spokesman said.
Two of those injured were admitted to hospital for smoke inhalation, while the other four received medical attention at the scene.
The fire broke out on the first floor of the building. The home's 30 residents were evacuated and the flames were doused shortly thereafter.
Police are refusing to label the incident an arson attack while investigations are ongoing.
