MANJUNG: A 66-year-old driver was killed and another sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle collision at KM2.5 Seri Manjung-Lekir road near Kampung Cina here today.
The deceased, from Kampung Koh here, died at the scene of the accident.
The 28-year-old injured driver from Taman Keria, Lekir was sent to Seri Manjung hospital for outpatient treatment.
Manjung district police chief ACP Tengku Mohd Zailan Tengku Ahmad said the driver was travelling from Seri Manjung to Lekir when the accident occurred at 8.30am at a traffic light junction.
The impact of the collision caused the deceased car to be dragged for a few metres before colliding with another car at another junction.
The driver of the third car suffered slight injuries.
Tengku Mohd Zailan said police are investigating whether the cars had adhered to the traffic lights.
