Outgoing Penang CID chief hands over duties to deputy

GEORGE TOWN: Former Penang CID chief SAC Datuk Mazlan Kesah today thanked his colleagues for supporting him to carry out his duties successfully during his tenure.

He said he was touched by the trust placed in him by his superiors and his subordinates in fulfilling his responsibilities.

He thanked state police chief SAC Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi for guiding him ever since he took up the post in 2013.

"It is time for me to explore new avenues in the force," he said in his speech when handing over his duties to his deputy, ACP PR Gunarajan.

The ceremony was witnessed by Penang deputy police chief Datuk A. Thaiveegan.

Mazlan has been transferred to the Bukit Aman Administrative Secretariat while Gunarajan has been appointed acting Penang CID chief with immediate effect.
