PETALING JAYA: Controversial sex blogger Alvin Tan has caused another controversy with his latest video on YouTube.
In the two-minute video, Tan is seen bare-chested playing the "Azan" on an electronic keyboard while singing along.
His video has garnered over 1,000 likes, more than 4,000 comments and has been shared more than 5,000 times and has had views of over 180,000 at press time.
He posted the video with this comment: "Have you had your dose of Allahuakbar for the day!? This is dedicated to the one and only true God, Allah s.w.t., peace be upon Him! And please don't badger me about the wrong lyrics … First, this is a cover, so creative modification is permitted. Second, I ain't a suicide bomber alright.
"My latest goal is to get all mosques in Malaysia to play my cover ..."
His video has received angry comments as well as death threats. Muaz Khair said: "Hell awaits you".
Nazrie Abdurrahman said: "Tan is trying to divide and break the relationship between the Malays and the Chinese that has been close for hundreds of years. People like this are traitors to all."
"Hope you are bombed," came another threat from snop tv.
"I hope you will be murdered and not killed. And you die a horrific death," said Shahrul Nizam.
Tan has jumped bail and fled to the US last year after being charged with sedition.
