Police find six bodies in eastern Mexico

COATZACOALCOS, Mexico: The bodies of six people have been found in eastern Mexico, a police source told AFP.
The naked bodies of three young men were discovered on a roadside in the state of Veracruz.
Police investigating the area found three more bodies, severely decayed, in plastic bags, the source said.
The bodies were discovered near the port of Veracruz on the Gulf of Mexico, a scene of frequent confrontations between drug traffickers and law enforcement.
Authorities have recently squared off with the Jalisco New Generation Drug Cartel in days of gunfights that recently inculded a downed helicopter. – AFP
