Three Somalis held over counterfeit money

    GEORGE TOWN: Police arrested three Somalis who were in possession of counterfeit money in Batu Ferringhi here last night.
    Timur Laut District police chief ACP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the two men and a woman, aged between 20 and 24 years, were arrested during routine checks at 10pm.
    "They were stopped after they were seen to be behaving suspiciously in the area," he told reporters here today.
    He said that they were found to be in possession of 10 fake US$100 notes and 10 fake Indian 1,000 rupee notes.
    He added that the trio had valid passports and that the further investigations were being made. – Bernama
