Police: Decomposed body found yesterday believed to be that of a foreign woman

    GEORGE TOWN: The woman, whose decomposed body was found in a box near an undergrowth at Puncak Bukit Mutiara, Tanjung Bungah here, yesterday, is believed to be a foreigner.

    Timur Laut district police chief ACP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said this was based on the result of the post mortem which found no mark of BCG injection on the body.

    He said the post mortem also revealed no external or internal injury on the victim.

    The cause of death could not be ascertained due to the severe decomposition of the body, he said in a statement here today.

    He said police believed the woman, who was small built and 131cm tall, died between a week to a month ago.

    She wore dentures, aged between 30 and 45, and also had a thread bracelet normally worn by Buddhist on the wrist, he added. – Bernama
