Amy Adams: 'Modelling is not my first love'

AMY Adams (pix) admits modelling doesn't come naturally to her.
The 40-year-old actress is often considered to be a fashion icon due to her stunning red carpet looks but she's confessed she just sees herself as an "everyday girl".
She said: "Modelling is not my first love, I'm five foot, with a sort of everyday girl's kind of build."
Speaking about how she has to pretend she's someone else when she's posing for photos, she added: "I think that's the only way I can do it ... I can't just be like, 'I'm a pretty girl sitting in front of a camera', because then I just feel super self conscious."
The American Hustle star admits taking on the role of the seductive Sydney Prosser in the film - which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress - gave her a lot more confidence in showing off her assets in everyday life.
She told ITV's Lorraine: "I think it made me a lot more comfortable with the front of my body so I just sort of don't think about it as much anymore. My daughter calls me out on it so I can't be too risque because she's clocking it."
However, Amy claims that when she's not promoting her films and is on mother duty, she is far from glamorous.
She added: "When I'm mom, I really look like a mom, it looks like I really gave up." – Bang Media
