Tip off leads police to successful bust

GEORGE TOWN: Police busted a drug processing laboratory at a two-storey semi-detached house in Lorong Padang Tembak and seized drugs worth close to RM1 million today.
Acting on a public tip-off, State Narcotics Department chief Supt Guan Beng Kang said police also arrested three local men, in between 20s and 50s, during the raid conducted at 6pm.
" We seized 10kg of grade 3 heroine, 20,000 ecstacy pills, and drug processing equipments, " he told reporters.
Police also seized a Toyota Altis and a Proton Wira from the scene.
He, however, declined to elaborate further about the raid, adding that a press conference will be held soon.
At time of writing, police and forensics team were still carrying out investigations at the house.
