New Acer Liquid smartphone series flowing with features

ACER Malaysia recently launched its new Liquid series smartphones that are attractive, ­lightweight and packed with features.
Helming the range is the Liquid Jade Z with hardware specs like a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek 6732 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage (expandable via microSD card slot).
It comes with a 13-megapixel F1.8 rear camera and a five-megapixel F1.8 front camera. It also takes great selfie shots with Bright Magic Selfie and surround light feature.
The Liquid Jade Z is thin at 7.9mm, and only weighs 110g. It also features a 5in 720p display made from Gorilla Glass 3, as well as speedy browsing and streaming with its MediaTek 64-bit quad-core ­processor and 4G LTE Dual SIM.
In terms of software, the Liquid Jade Z comes with various other features – Float Apps, Reading Mode, and ­Innovative Hybrid UI.
It also provides easy access to cloud storage with Acer's BYOC (Build Your Own Cloud) which ­enables users to access files and documents remotely from their computer, just by turning on the BYOC app on both their device and ­computer.
The launch, which was officiated by Johnson Seet, the head of Mobile Notebook & Smart Handheld, Acer Sales and Services, also saw the ­introduction of two other devices from the Liquid series range – the Acer Liquid Z220 and Z520.
As their names suggest, the Z520 is the Liquid Series' mid-range device, while the Z220 is the entry-level model.
The Acer Liquid Z520 comes with a 5in FWVGA display, 1.5Ghz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M ­processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in ­storage.
It also has a eight-­megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash, and supports 3G Dual SIM.
Meanwhile, the ­Liquid Z220 has a 4in WVGA display and also 3G Dual SIM support.
­However, unlike its other ­counterparts, it runs on the latest Android 5.0 ­operating system.
Other specs include ­Qualcomm dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor, five-megapixel auto focus camera, 8GB of storage and 1GB RAM.
According to Jeffrey Lai, product ­manager of ­Mobile Notebook & Smart Handheld, Acer Sales and Services, both the Liquid Jade Z and the ­Liquid Z520 will ­receive Android 5.0 Lollipop updates within this year.
Along with the new Acer Liquid smartphone series, Acer Malaysia also launched two new models of the Aspire E laptop series – the Aspire E14 and E15.
They come in four trendy colours and feature Acer's new, iconic textile-pattern on the cover and underside cover design.
The Acer Liquid Jade Z retails at RM799 while the Z520 and Z220 retails at RM499 and RM299 ­respectively.
