KUALA LUMPUR: Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Datuk Seri G. Palanivel said he would investigate the Home Minister's allegation that his ministry's staff might be involved in the mass grave at the Thai-Perlis border.
"If any of them are involved, I assure you that severe action will be taken. Secondly, it is merely a wild and sweeping statement without much proof," he said in a statement.
Palanivel also said it is not the his ministry's jurisdiction to look after border security.
"In fact, many forest areas at the border are under strict surveillance and patrols, even our forest officers are not allowed to enter without being escorted by the police or army," he added.
