GEORGE TOWN: The Health Ministry will ensure more forensic experts are brought in to conduct the postmortem of the remains in the human trafficking case near the Malaysian-Thai border in Perlis.

Minister Datuk Seri S. Subramaniam said they will ensure there is enough manpower as pathologists from other hospitals will be brought if there is limited pathologists at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital.

"We are ready to assist, " he told reporters after opening the 9th National Conference for Clinical Research Intensifies Malaysia's Medical Research Endeavour today.
He said it will be an uphill task to determine the identities of the victims as they have no details pertaining to the DNA or background of the next-of-kin.
However, he said the ministry would do its best in trying to identify the bodies.

This comes after 139 graves and 28 human trafficking camps have been found near to the country's border in Wang Kelian, Perlis.
