Wan Junaidi: Only 2 cops involved in human trafficking

PADANG BESAR: Contrary to reports on Wednesday that 12 cops have been detained for human trafficking, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Ser Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (pix) today has clarified that only two policemen were suspected to be involved over the crime.
According to him, another two policemen and 10 others were arrested for ordinary smuggling activities and has nothing to do with human trafficking or Wang Kelian mass graves.
He also rebutted the term "mass graves" used by the media over the incident, explaining that all 139 graves that were found in the hilly areas of Bukit Wan Burma were indeed proper burial sites.
"It was not 'mass graves'. What we have found at the sites were proper burial sites," he said during a press conference at General Operation Force Tactical Base at Wang Kelian today.
Wan Junaidi was on a working visit to the police camp at Wang Kelian today and were briefed for about half an hour by police there.
