Govt: RM72.29m spent on Kedai Runcit 1Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The government has spent RM72.29 million for the Kedai Runcit 1Malaysia programme.
Domestic Trade, Co-Operatives and Consumerism Ministry said the money was used to meet the costs for infrastructure, modification and equipment for the stores nationwide.
"There is a total of 162 KR1M stores set up nationwide ... and the cost for each store differs based on the size and location," the ministry said in reply to a question by Dr Lee Boon Chye (PKR - Gopeng).
