PETALING JAYA: Paper-based products manufacturer Muda Holdings Bhd is investing RM90 million to venture into the machine-glazed business.
Its chairman Tan Sri Lim Guan Teik said the first phase will start to operate commercially next month, with an annual production capacity of 18,000 tonnes.
Lim said the company has allocated RM34 million for the first phase of the expansion plan, which includes the construction of a 110,000-square feet new building next to its existing Penang plant and the purchase of new machineries.
The second phase, meanwhile, will only come on stream a year later, according to Lim.
The three-phase expansion plan is expected to have a total production capacity of 60,000 tonnes annually.
