PETALING JAYA: The call for Selangor Mentri Besar Mohamad Azmin Ali to relinquish his position continues with the latest coming from Klang assemblymen special officer Faekah Husin, who said the post should be reserved for those who are "capable".
In the statement issue, Faekah cited that Azmin has wasted all the opportunities given to him for the past nine months to prove his ability to properly govern the state.
"There is not a single proof or facts that PKR can present to the people in order to prove that Azmin have done a good job in making the Selangor a more developed and prosperous state under his leadership," Faekah said in the statement issued today.
She added that prosperous does not mean they can easily spend all the reserves monies that the previous administration have collected nor it means gaining cheap publicities doing community works like cleaning up clog drains, prepare more garbage trucks or landfills, or even spraying insecticides and giving mosquito coils to the public to prevent the spread of dengue in the state.
She further illustrated that prosperous also does not mean one can simply allow the contractors to continuously gain profits through paving the roads whereas the problems of clogged drains and garbage piled on the roadside and in housing estates is not being solved.
"To make matter worse, Azmin had fail tremendously in proving his ability in solving the prolonged water issue faced by the people because all he need to do is execute all the terms and condition stated in the Master Agreement, the outcome of a complex and holistic solution resulted from more than 60 sessions of meetings and discussions between the state government and the federal government for the past five years.
"Instead, with ease he pushes the blame to finalise the restructuring of the water industry deal to his predecessor, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim," she added.
Having said all that, Faekah said it is only fair and beneficial to the people of Selangor that Azmin should make way for a more decent candidate to govern the state.
