Dengue claims 144 lives since Jan 2015: Health Ministry

KUALA LUMPUR: Death cases due to dengue has increased within the last six months with 144 cases reported out of 49, 313 cases, the Health Ministry said.
In a parliamentary written reply, the ministry said the 144 deaths were from January until June 6 this year, compared to 72 death cases reported during the same time last year.
The ministry said the monitoring operations and spotchecks at hotspots are ongoing along with continuous awareness campaign against dengue.
