Strong winds from the South West expected to continue

    KUALA LUMPUR: Strong southwesterly winds of 50-60kmph with waves rising up to 3.5m occurring over the waters of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Sarawak (Miri), Sabah and Labuan territorial waters are expected to continue until Wednesday.
    The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement here today said the condition is dangerous to small crafts, recreational sea activities and sea sports.
    Meanwhile, Phuket, Condore, Reef North, Layang-Layang, Palawan and Sulu territorial waters are also expected to experience similar occurrences but with waves rising up to 4.5m.
    This condition is dangerous to all shipping and coastal activities including fishing and ferry services. – Bernama
