KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has been given the privilege to host the International Forum on Disability Management (IFDM) 2016, a biannual programme to discuss the management of disability.
The forum, which will be organised and handled by the Social Security Organisation (Socso), will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from Nov 22 to 24, 2016.
In announcing this to the media, Human Resource Minister Datuk Seri Richard Jaem said the convention will discuss in detail issues, trends and best practices for the management of disabilities at a global and international level.
"I would also like to congratulate Socso for the recognition on a global scale as the organising host for this forum," he said after the breaking of fast ceremony organised by Socso here yesterday.
Among the topics and issues that will be discussed are those concerning government strategies and policies, public initiatives, best practices, cost benefit, academic and professionalism in disability management, and disability management practices in developing countries.
Socso executive director Datuk Dr. Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed will be among those presenting their papers during the forum.
