ONEderful memories
KNOWN as “Subang’s neighbourhood family mall”, the occasion was commemorated by offering visitors and shoppers two whole days of fun-filled activities and exciting performances.
FUN AND FESTIVITY
The anniversary celebration kicked off with a performance by Celebrity Fitness, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony participated by the mall’s management along with its shoppers and tenants.
Festivities continued with dance and music performances, puppet shows and fun fair games, along with free popcorn and candy for visitors to enjoy throughout the two-day celebration. Mall visitors also had the opportunity to indulge in some fun photography sessions at an Instagram photobooth specially set up for the occasion.
NEIGHBOURHOOD FAMILY MALL
The mall, which opened in March last year has been home to a strong variety of tenants that include grocers, food and beverage outlets, as well as fitness and entertainment outlets. These, in addition to edutainment centres that engage children such as Molly Fantasy and KizSports and Gym, make Main Place Mall a popular family destination. Anchor tenants include Jaya Grocer, Uniqlo, Cotton On, Toys ‘R’ Us, Popular, Nichii, ESH, Brands Outlet, Daiso, Original Classic and Lovely Lace Home.
Adding to its stable of reputable retail brands are outlets such as Black Market, Tonkatsu and D Empire which have just made its debut.
Main Place management director Woo May Foong said: “It has been an outstanding first year for the mall. From the very beginning, we aspired for the mall to become the ‘main place’ for the local community, especially as a shopping destination that can cater to the entire family. I believe we have brought in the right tenants and the response from patrons in the neighbourhood has been very encouraging.”
UPCOMING EXCITEMENT
Many exciting activities have been planned for the year. These are in conjunction with festive celebrations like Hari Raya, Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas. For Hari Raya, the mall launched a campaign to the “Rasa Sayang Celebration” theme where shoppers are entertained with a variety of cultural shows, live music, as well as silat performances and more.
According to Woo, the management of the mall continuously make it a point to enhance the ambience of the mall. “Although we have just passed the one year mark, we want tomake sure we provide a family friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere for our visitors.”
Optimistic about its strategic location, strong tenant mix and family-centric activities and facilities, Woo is certain that Main Place Mall is on its way, if not already, positioned as the primary shopping destination for families in the surrounding neighbourhood.
