Najib attends Parliament's Aidilfitri open house

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak attended the Parliament's Aidilfitri open house at the car park of the Parliament Building, here today.
Najib, who arrived at 2pm, was greeted by Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, Senate President Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang and Senate Deputy President Datuk Doris Sophia Brodi.
The prime minister later spent about 30 minutes at the event enjoying the delicacies and chatting with other guests.
The open house from 11am until 4pm was also attended by Members of Parliament from the Barisan Nasional and the opposition.
Also present were several cabinet ministers, including Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hasan Malek and International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
Others present included several foreign envoys, parliament officials and local media representatives. – Bernama
