Adnan Yaakob: Don't speculate on probe into 1MDB

KUANTAN: Pahang Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob has called on all quarters to be patient and not speculate on the investigation into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) issue that is linked to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.
Adnan said he understood that all parties were confused over the issue due to too much information on it being shared openly both in the mainstream and social media.
"Let's wait...the investigation is being conducted by the task force, so let's wait for the outcome of the investigation.
"I understand that in this IT era, a lot of confusion arise...things can get out of control. But I advise that we should think rationally in such situations."
Adnan said this to reporters after attending an Aidilfitri gathering hosted by the Pahang Plantation Industry Authority (LKPP), here, yesterday.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister's Office issued a media release urging all quarters, especially members of the government administration, to wait for the results of the investigation on 1MDB before issuing any statement.
It said members of the government administration should avoid doing anything that could worsen public perception towards the federal government and UMNO. – Bernama
